Project Workflow

Contact

Contact me with initial ideas and aspirations for your project. I will want to know everything I can about you or your company and what you want for your customers or audience for this project. This will help me get the same vision as you and insure that we get the best results possible.

Research

Once we are on the same page about the project, I will begin researching. I will do competitive research, and research concepts and ideas that you have given me. During this stage is where all the lightbulbs are going off, and determining which are worth pursuing, but often I will just be jotting down whatever comes to mind this will help me out in the sketching phase.

Sketches and Wireframes

During the sketching phase I will explore the ideas from researching and often create word lists. I will sketch these out in thumbnails and keep expanding on ideas. If I am working on a website I will be sketching out possible layouts.

Wireframes act as the blueprints to your website. During this phase you take one or a couple of your sketches and refine them in the computer. You can get into a little more detail which is really helpful down the road. Sometimes I will great a interface design in illustrator or Photoshop to get an even more detailed blueprint to work off of.

Initial Designs

This stage is where I will complete the design or designs. When doing designs that are not a website there will often be more than one design to propose to you. For a website I will complete one design.

Discuss

After finishing the initial designs we will get in contact to set up a meeting to discuss the initial design and go over possible concerns and make changes and slight tweaks. This is the time to bring up anything you are unsure about.

Finalize

This is where I take all the things said during the last phase and make changes and fine tunes things. This is also where if I am designing a website I will convert it to Wordpress so the client can make minor changes if need be.
